India's stand at the UN Climate Conference which is currently underway in Peruvian capital Lima will help enhance ties among developing world, government said today.
A meeting of the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, gave its approval to the negotiating position for the 20th Conference of Parties (COP-20) on climate change which is expected to conclude on December 12.
CoP-20 is expected to focus on the elements of 2015 Agreement and Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs).

"It would also enhance the solidarity among the developing countries on these issues," a government release said.
Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar will attend the high-level segments of the conference beginning later this week.
