A non-gazetted workers Union has appealed to the Rajasthan High Court administration to fill 600 vacant posts of junior judicial assistants to ease work load in the court.

The Union today said that the staff members were under "heavy workload".

Anil Mathur, the Union president, said that the High Court administration had issued a calendar in 2013 for recruitment to fill up the vacancies in the cadre of Junior Judicial Assistant but no process was initiated.

"The staff is under heavy workload and every staff member has to deal with 3,000 files on an average, which is five times more than capacity," he said.

"The vacancies of junior staff should be filled in order to ease the workload and to improve the work atmosphere," Mathur said.
