Union minister Dattatreya's vehicle stopped by cops?; probe on

The Hyderabad Police today ordered an inquiry into the yesterday's incident wherein the official vehicle of Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya was allegedly stopped by some police personnel near Mahankali temple here during the Bonalu festivities.

"Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Srinivas Rao would conduct the inquiry into the circumstances in which the vehicle of the minister was stopped," city Police Commissioner M Mahendar Reddy said tonight.

The inquiry will fix the responsibility and the Additional Commissioner of Police will submit a report for taking appropriate action, he said.
