Congress today flayed Trinamool Congress for holding it responsible for a bomb explosion near the venue of a poll meeting and said TMC was viewing it as its "main enemy", rather than the CPI(M).

Abu Hashem Khan Chowdhury, the Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, said, "the TMC was now viewing Congress as its main rival, rather than the CPI-M."

He derided two state ministers Sabitri Chowdhury and Krishnendu Chowdhury, who were present in the meeting which took place last evening, for making the false allegation and said his part was in no way involved in the bomb explosions.

Chowdhury, also the Malda district Congress president, met the district SP Kalyan Mukherjee and told him of his party's no role in the blasts.

The explosions occurred a little distance away from the meeting venue at Chandrapara in the Chanchal sub-division of Malda district last evening.
