Union Minister of State for Finance J D Seelam today faced the ire of supporters of united Andhra Pradesh at a local hotel where he was supposed to address media.

Seelam was forced to address reporters at the portico of the hotel instead at the venue inside.

Earlier, the hotel management asked reporters gathered at the scheduled event to leave the place following threat by the protagonists of united Andhra to disrupt the programme on the ground that Seelam was against the Samikhyandhra movement.

Later addressing the media, the minister said the decision on bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh is irreversible.

Responding to a query, Seelam said it was his personal view that Hyderabad could be made the Union Territory post division of the state to satisfy all the stake-holders.

Samaikhyandhra political JAC convener K Shivaji told media they had warned management of hotel against allowing the programme of the minister.
