Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi will inaugurate the 'Partner Kerala' Urban Development Meet here tomorrow.
The state government has organised the two-day meet to develop infrastructure facilities in urban areas in the State and provide economic opportunities for the local bodies.
Announcing this at a press conference here today, State Minister for Urban Affairs and Welfare of Minorities, Manjalamkuzhi Ali said corporations and municipalities will showcase nearly 84 projects worth about Rs 6,500 crore before potential investors at the meet.

Stating that the meet is an attempt to help cash-strapped local bodies in the State to generate revenue, Ali said investors interested in various projects will get an opportunity to hold discussions with corporations and municipalities concerned at the meet.
He said government will take steps to ensure speedy clearance for the projects as per the prescribed rules and regulations.
The major goal of the event is to identify, formulate and implement bankable urban infrastructure development projects to give a new face to urban Kerala, he said.
These projects should be self-sustainable and must strengthen the economic base of the urban local bodies while ensuring inclusive and equitable growth through large-scale employment and income generation,he added.
