Union minister Vayalar Ravi undergoes hernia surgery

Union Minister Vayalar Ravi today underwent a hernia surgery at a private hospital here.

Sources at the Lakeshore hospital where he has been admitted said the surgery was performed this morning.

He was admitted to the hospital last night following complaints of stomach pain, Dr Philip Augustine, managing director of the hospital, said.

The Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs will remain in the hospital for the next two days.

The surgery was performed by a team led by Dr H Ramesh, Head of Gastro Intestinal surgery.
