The ongoing 17th Bridge federation of Asia & Middle East Championship saw an unique record being set by Pakistan women team as it included card players from three generations of a family - Qudsia Dossa, her daughter Rubeena Saeed Hai and grand daughter Fatima Raza.

They not only played together in the same tournament but were also a part of the squad that won the women's event for Pakistan for the first in the championship here.

While veteran Qudsia has been representing Pakistan for the last 20 years and was also part of the Pakistan women's team that finished runners up at 15th BFAME championship in Jordan during 2009, Rubina and Fatima were included in side this time after their fine show at Women National Bridge Championship, which was held in Karachi in May last year.

The trio, living in Karachi, received support from other members of the family to pursue the card game.

"I am really happy to be able to live up to the expectation and win the title here," the grand lady of women bridge in Pakistan Qudsia Dossa said.
