A unique rudraksha, in the shape of Shiva Lingam, was found stolen from an ashram at Kallar, about 50 km from here, police said today.
The 'single face' rudrakasha, weighing seven kgs and placed in a glass cabin, was found missing from the Agathiar Gyan Peetham when priests came to perform pooja yesterday morning, they said.
On a complaint, Superintendent of Police Ramya Bharati formed a special team to trace the rudraksha and also to bring the culprits to book.
