: Unit 1 of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project has been synchronised with the Southern Grid after maintenance work for about 75 days.
Plant officials said it was synchronised with the grid on February 15 and would reach full power generation in 72 hours.
The first reactor has generated 13,197 million units of electricity since February 22 2016 after the first power outage and had earned a gross profit of Rs 1,000 crore, the officials said.
The Second unit has so far generated 1,874 million units.
