United Airlines today said it has resumed flights to the national capital after a temporary suspension on account of poor air quality concerns.

The American airline was the first one to suspend flight operations to the city, citing air pollution.

"United has resumed flights between Newark and Delhi following a temporary suspension due to poor air quality concerns in Delhi," the airline said in a statement.

The carrier also said it is monitoring advisories and is coordinating with respective government agencies.

"We encourage customers who are travelling over the next several days to visit united.com or download our mobile app for the latest flight," it added.
