Unseasonal rain accompanied by hailstorm today lashed parts of Yavatmal in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, damaging standing crops.
The rainfall and hailstorm lasted for about 10 minutes.
The district administration had alerted farmers about possibility of unseasonal rainfall and hailstorm, and asked them to keep their grains and agri-produce at safe places.
The administration had also asked people not to take shelter under trees to avoid getting hit by lightning.
