Unseasonal rains accompanied with stormy winds and hailstorm lashed Nashik district and Shirdi disrupting the normal life and posing a threat to crops like grapes.
Rains lashed Niphad, Kalwan, Malegaon, Devla, Sinnar, Yeola and Dindori tehsil towns of the district last evening, resulting in a drop in temperatures and increasing the worries of the farmers, as per a report of the district collector's office.
The pilgrimage town of Shirdi in Ahmednagar district also experienced heavy unseasonal rain last evening for two hours, causing water-logging in low lying areas, the report said.
The rains posed a threat to crops like grapes, wheat, onion, pomegranate and tomato in the area, it added.
