Two children were today killed after they were hit by a jeep in Baraipur village of Mirzapur district following which local residents resorted to stone pelting that left two policemen injured.
Two children, residents of Baraipur village and whose identities are yet to be ascertained, were killed today after a jeep hit them. Angry villagers later resorted to stone pelting in Adalhat area in which two policemen were injured, a police spokesman said here.
Senior police officials pacified the villagers and brought the situation under control, he said.

Two students underwent a cochlear implant surgery funded by one of TATA Trusts and TATA Global Beverages Limited while one student underwent a corrective surgery for spasticity of limbs.
"Lots of children have gone to normal schools. They are leading a very happy and normal lives...Many of them have got married and have normal children which is a great pleasure to us," Ratna added.
On the expansion plans of DARE, she said though demands have been pouring to open its units in other parts, they were unable to think about it at the moment.
Ratna also added that they were open to have tie ups with other special schools and institutions in the country and abroad.
