A six-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped and killed by his neighbours over a petty financial dispute of Rs 3,000 in Amhara villager here, police said today.

The boy's body was recovered from a field last morning, a day after he went missing, they said.

The victim's father in his complaint alleged that his neighbour, Satish, and his brothers Ankur and Sunny had kidnapped and killed his son, police said.

The complainant has claimed that Satish had taken a loan of Rs 3,000 from him and on Monday they had an argument over its payment, police said, adding the father claimed that the incident was a fallout of the disagreement.

Satish has been arrested and the police is searching for his brothers, they said.
