UP asked to maintain vigil after Peshawar attack

Following Peshawar school killing, Central agencies have asked the Uttar Pradesh government to maintain special vigil in the state.

"The state government has been asked to maintain a special vigil," a central government agency officer said.

He, however, said that central agencies issue advisories from time to time.

Meanwhile, a senior police officer said that the district magistrates (DMs) and SSPs have been asked to maintain a vigil.

He said that directives have been issued to maintain security at malls, school and colleges.
