UP best among states improving performance under NHIS scheme

Uttar Pradesh has been adjudged by the Centre as best among the states which have shown improvement in the implementation of National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

On behalf of the state government, scheme's CEO in UP Alok Kumar will receive the award from Union Labour Minister Mallikarjun Kharge at a function in Trivanthpuram tomorrow, an official release said here.

The award comes as a recognition to state's dedicated efforts towards ensuring reach of the scheme's benefits to its target population of BPL people, it said.

The release added that Barabanki District Magistrate Minishthi S will also be honoured for the wholesome work initiated in her district under the scheme.
 

UPRIMS at Saifai in Etawah will be rewarded for its efforts in providing health facilities to the people belonging to economically weaker sections of the society.
