The BJP in Uttar Pradesh has planned a number of interactive and social activities from the third week of August as part of its efforts to reach out to the public.
In a statement issued today, UP BJP General Secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak said, "In the meeting of working committee in Meerut, it was decided that from August 16 meetings of the working committee of the party's district units will be held. After this, meetings of booth-level committees will be held, and verification of voters will be done from August 16 to August 30."
He said and a membership drive will be initiated at every booth.
"Meetings of co-ordination teams for all the 80 Lok Sabha seats (in Uttar Pradesh) will be held from September 1 to 15," he said, adding 'Bharat Gaurav Yatra' will be held on August 15.
"Members of booth committees will plant saplings and on August 16 members of the party's Kisan Morcha will honour the freedom fighters and pay homage to the martyrs," Pathak said.
"A kavi sammelan and singing competition on theme of patriotism will be held on August 18, and the party's women wing has been tasked to organise it," Pathak said.
