State unit of BJP today welcomed the move of Ajmer Sharif spiritual head to boycott Pakistan Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf's visit to the shrine in protest of killing of Indian soldiers by the Pakistani Army.

The brutal killing and beheading of Indian soldiers by the Pakistani Army was still fresh in the minds of people, but the central government was according a reception to the Prime Minister of that country which amounted to insult of our soldiers, UP BJP chief Laxmikant Bajpai told reporters.

Welcoming Ajmer Sharif Dargah Diwan Zainul Abedin Ali Khan's move to boycott Ashraf's visit, he said if the Pakistani Prime Minister had come for pilgrimage, he should have come as an individual and not as a guest.

To a question on the performance of SP government in its one year in office, Bajpai said no other chief minister before Akhilesh Yadav had been "exposed" in such a short time.

Dismal law and order and violence have become common, he alleged.
