A two-day state working committee meeting of the Uttar Pradesh BJP will begin on August 11 in Meerut, with the party national president Amit Shah likely to attend the event on August 12.
Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Mahendra Nath Pandey said that a decision to this effect was taken at a meeting today, which was also attended by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, deputy chief ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma, UP ministers, general secretary (organisation) Sunil Bansal and office bearers of the state BJP.
"In today's meeting, elaborate discussions were held on future organisational activities and programmes run by the party. Review of various campaigns run by the party was also done," Pandey said.
He also asked the party office bearers to take all the organisational activities and programmes to the booth level in all the six regions of the state.
According to a statement issued today by the BJP state unit, Pandey said that discussions were also held on preparing the road map for the crucial 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
