UP chief sec directs police to maintain strict vigil

Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary today directed senior police officers to maintain a strict vigil in sensitive districts for better law and order in the state.

"For better law and order in the state, a close vigil should be maintained in sensitive districts so that no untoward incident takes place," Chief Secretary Alok Rajan directed police officers while reviewing law and order here.

The CS said that process should be initiated at the earliest for the recruitment of around 40,000 police personnel and 6,400 sub-inspectors with transparency.

He said that it should also be ensured that training of newly recruited personnel must start by January month.
 

Alok said that to meet shortage of training centers 62 temporary training centers would be opened.
