Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Rajive Kumar today directed the officials concerned to give information about paddy purchase and other facilities to the farmers through SMS.
According to an official statement issued by the Uttar Pradesh government, paddy purchase from farmers in 31 districts of western Uttar Pradesh will begin from October 21 and will continue till January 31, 2018.
Similarly, in 41 districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh, paddy purchase will begin on November 1 and will continue till February 28, 2018.
"Under the 'Krishak Paadarshi Yojana', information about paddy purchase and other facilities should be given to the registered farmers through SMS at the earliest," the Uttar Pradesh chief secretary said.
