Governor B L Joshi and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav paid floral tributes to the Father of the Nation at a function organised at Tilak Hall in Vidhan Sabha in which information was given regarding memorable incidents associated with the life of Mahatma Gandhi.
Governor Joshi said, "Bapu was epitome of simplicity and determination and selfless service was the ideal of his life".
Yadav said that Gandhiji's path of non-violence and truth was still relevant today and prosperity could be brought in the country and the society by following his principles and thoughts.
