UP CM inaugurates '1857 Kranti Yatra' festival at Bithoor

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today inaugurated the five-day '1857 Kranti Yatra' festival at Bithoor.

On the occasion, the chief minister garlanded the statue of Nana Rao Peshwa and also inaugurated the 'Vikas Pardarshini'.

The entire Bithoor, the centre of Revolt of 1857, got a complete facelift where the festival was organised after eight years.

While addressing people, he expressed serious concern over the state of Ganga river.

He said that maintaining the cleanliness and 'aviralta' (ever-flowing nature) of the Ganga river was everyone's responsibility.

The chief minister further said that the Centre and state both were working on an effective programme to ensure the Ganga river's cleanliness.
 

Adityanath visited stalls and art galleries of various government departments, including the art gallery of Madhya Pradesh cultural department, Dilkusha Mahal, La Martiniere and the Begum Hazrat Mahal.

He also expressed happiness over Kanpur getting the first rank in the country for uploading 'Swachhata app' of the Kanpur Municipal Corporation.
