UP CM's Ghaziabad visit postponed

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's proposed visit to Ghaziabad has now been deferred till January 20.

Yadav was slated to visit the city on December 20 and launch few ambitious projects.

The chief minister would inaugurate a high-tech police control room being constructed at Govindpuram PAC battalion premises, said District Magistrate Vimal Kumar Sharma.

The police control room, constructed at an estimated cost of 6.60 crore, would link all mobile patrol units and improve the forces' efficiency in combating crime, its in-charge and Superintendent of Police Kamlesh Bahadur said.

The control room features a computer-aided design, CCTV cameras monitoring unit, global positioning system (GPS). All the PCR vans and leopard motorcycle will be monitored through this automated system.
 

Yadav will also lay down foundation stone of Dilshad Garden-Ghaziabad and Yamuna Vihar-Loni-Ghaziabad metro rail projects and a six-lane flyover at Hapur Chungi here.

He will also inaugurate 18 other public utility schemes on which GDA will spend 16 crore rupees.
