A junior engineer of Rural Engineering Service was held for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 in Mahrajganj district today.
Acting on a complaint that engineer Shivpujan Vishkarma was demanding money for preparing estimates and giving financial and technical sanction for construction of a road, he was arrested by the Anti-Corruption wing, an official release said.
A case in this connection has been filed with Shyamdeiruva police station, it added.
