Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today exhorted the youth to work towards earning laurels for the country saying its their responsibility to take the nation ahead.
"India is the youngest country in the world and it is the responsibility of the youth to take it ahead and earn a name for it in the world", Naik said during a function at the Bundelkhand university here.
The Governor said that though our history is very rich, it is unfortunate that none of the 700 universities in the country figure in the list of 200 top universities in the world and we would have to work in this direction.
Earlier, the Governor was welcomed by Vice Chancellor of the university, Avinash Chandra Pandey.
