Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik's book, written in Marathi, chronicling his political career and life was released at a function here today.
The book titled "Charaiveti" (Keep Going) was released by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and former Chief ministers Sushilkumar Shinde of Congress and Manohar Joshi of Shiv Sena.
"I got many suggestions and letters asking me to come up with a book. I then decided to compile my experiences and today you see what a pleasant moment that three Chief ministers came together to release my book," Naik told reporters on the sidelines of the event.

"Politicians may be having differences with one another, but this is the beauty that we come together on such occasions and that is what has really impressed me," the veteran politician said.
Naik, who completed one year as UP Governor last year, came out with a report card titled 'Raj Bhavan mein Ram Naik 2014-15' comprising work done by him.
"After three months, I will complete two years in my office and I will come out with my report card of the second year. I will keep on doing this until I am in the office," he said.
Naik declined to comment on the making of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, saying the matter is sub-judice.
"Since I took over as governor, I became a North Indian but whenever I return to Mumbai I feel at home," he said.
The former Petroleum Minister said he was dedicating the book to all his known and unknown supporters.
"During my political life, I got the whole-hearted support from the party workers and today I am dedicating my book to all those known and unknown supporters," said the former member of the BJP National Executive Committee.
Senior Congress leader Sushilkumar Shinde and Shiv Sena leader Manohar Joshi termed Naik as the "beloved politician" for everyone.
Referring to Naik's affiliation with RSS, Fadnavis said Naik is the most organised and disciplined 'swayamsewak'.
"I remember Naik's mantra which I would never forget . When I was getting training under him, he taught us--'when you are in the Assembly then think of the constituency and when you are in the constituency among the public, think about the Assembly on how you are going to deal aspirations of people'," he said.
