During a review meeting yesterday, transport minister Raja Mahendra Aridaman Singh directed the transport officials to ensure check on overloading vehicles.
He also asked them to take strong action against people who ride motorcycles without helmets.
The minister also directed the officials to take special caution while issuing driving licences and set up a toll free helpline within a month in which public can lodge complaints. PTI AVA PG
