BJP today accused Akhilesh Yadav-led UP government of being "insensitive" towards the problems of farmers in Bundelkhand region.
"The government which is observing 'Kisan varsh' is insensitive in reality towards their problems. Cheques of Rs 60 and Rs 32 being distributed among farmers is a bad joke," BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said.
He demanded that strict action should be taken against the officers issuing such cheques.
Pathak said that the state government would have been sensitive towards the issue if Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav would have implemented his own orders.
