A scam of thousands of crores of Rupees in disbursement of scholarships to scheduled caste students by showing their bogus admissions had come to the notice of the state government, Social Welfare minister Awadhesh Prasad said.
He was giving a written reply to a question raised by BJP member Shyamdeo Roy Chowdhury in the state assembly.
"The complaints have come to the notice of the state government. The state government is conducting a high level probe into it. Strict action will be initiated against the guilty after the report is submitted to the government", Prasad said.
