UP govt promises to provide cooperation for Mahila College

The Uttar Pradesh government today promised to extend full cooperation in turning Mahila College into first women university of north India.

"The state government will extend full cooperation as per norms to turn Mahila college at Aminabad here into first women university of north India," UP Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan said after inaugurating platinum jubilee programme of the college.

He said the state government is implementing several schemes to make cent per cent girls educated and to provide employment oriented education.

Education of girls is very important for the progress of the society, he said, adding that by providing technical education to women more progress could be brought in the society and the state.
