Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today said that the schemes launched by his government were "unparallelled" as against those launched by the NDA-led Centre.
"Samajwadi Pension yojna is an unparallelled scheme.. We give benefit to the living people whereas the one brought by the Centre extends help only in the case of death," he said while addressing workers on the 68th birthday celebrations of national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav here.
The Chief Minister pointed out that the scheme is aimed at helping 50 lakh families.

Yadav maintained that the work done by his government has "no comparison with anyone".
Citing other schemes, the Samajwadi leader said that efforts were on to increase employment opportunities in the state.
The socialist ideology is the most relevant one in the present times, he said.
Stressing that danger of communalism was rising, Yadav said that it was a challenge before the Samajwadi Party and youth will have to come forward to deal with it.
Meanwhile, holding a review meeting with district magistrates of six districts at his official residence later, Yadav asked them to implement the schemes launched for the welfare of poor and farmers with sincerity.
"Villages, farmers, poor are among the priority of the state government and their neglect will not be tolerated at any cost", he told the meeting.
