The state government has sanctioned the release of over Rs 37 crore for reconstruction of the 26- kilometer long Durgapur-Amethi road, an official said today.
The road may very soon be reconstructed with a cost of Rs 37.40 crore for which the Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned and released the amount, the executive engineer of public works department (PWD), Devendra Mishra, said.
The tender process has started through e-tendering, Mishra added.
The road, which falls under Rahul Gandhi's constituency, was in bad condition due to alleged neglect.
