Congress leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi today alleged that a charge sheet was "deliberately" not being filed in her house arson case involving some BSP leaders, prompting the Uttar Pradesh government to assure her that they will look into the matter.

"We will look into the matter and will go through legal aspects of the case...," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mohd Azam Khan said in the state Assembly.

Joshi raised the matter during question hour and alleged that her house, which was in high-security zone, was set on fire by some persons including BSP men and police officers on July 16, 2009 during the previous BSP regime.

An FIR was lodged in the case against several persons including the then BSP legislator Jitendra Singh Babloo.

Demanding from the government to ensure justice to her, the Congress leader said that though a police inquiry into the case was completed on December 2012, no charge sheet had been filed yet.
