Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today directed the authorities to launch an anti-adulteration drive, ahead of Holi festival.
The Chief Minister has directed to take stern action against those selling adulterated food items, an official spokesman said here.
He said that information and complaints regarding the same should be provided to the government.

Akhilesh has noted that joint inspection teams should be constituted and raids be conducted to check edible items and storage units, the spokesman said.
Officers committing laxity in the special campaign will be identified and disciplinary action taken against them, he added.
