Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik today appointed vice-chancellors of four state universities. Professor Kamleshwar Nath Singh (who was the head of geology department at Deen Dayal University, Gorakhpur) has been made appointed the vice-chancellor of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Allahabad, said Juthika Patankar, Principal Secretary to the Governor. Professor Narendra Bahadur Singh was made the vice- chancellor of Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur. Narendra Bahadur Singh was with the civil engineering department of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow. Professor Neelima Gupta (head of department of zoology at Mahatma Jyotibha Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly) was made the vice-chancellor of Chatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur. Former deputy director general of Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), New Delhi, Professor JS Sandhu was appointed vice-chancellor of Narendra Dev University of Agriculture and Technolgy, Faizabad. The tenure of the vice-chancellors will be three years, Patankar said in a statement.
