The station in-charge of Panki Police station was today suspended on charges of alleged corruption and bigamy, a senior official said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Salabh Mathur said that about 15 days ago, a Panki-based NGO had accused Inspector Nanhe Lal Yadav of taking bribe from a person.
The organisation had given a CD to Inspector General of Police, Kanpur as evidence, he said.

Meanwhile, there were also complaints against him for keeping two wives and buying a house of Rs 70 lakh in Chakri area, he said.
Yadav was suspended today after all the accusations against him were found to be true, the SSP added.
The probe against the accused inspector is still underway, he said, adding a report has been sent to IG.
