A 40-year-old man was killed after being attacked by a wild elephant in Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctury here, police said today.
The incident took place yesterday when the victim Lekhraj was travelling from his village Bharthapur in Sujauli area.
The elephant attacked him with its trunk and killed him, police said.
The victim's body has been sent for postmortem.
