UP Minister lays foundation stone for mining office

UP Minister for mining Gayatri Prasad Prajapati laid the foundation stone for a mining office in Mehmoodpur village in Amethi, his home constituency, today.

He said the mining office would be constructed by Avas Vikas Parishad within six months at a cost of Rs 1.75 crore.

He also said that his department would install 300 handpumps in Amethi and 100 each in Azamgarh and Kannauj districts, Lok Sabha constituencies of SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and his daughter-in-law Dimple Yadav, respectively.

Principal Secretary of mining department Gurudip Singh and director Bhaskar Upadhyay also addressed the function.

Later, the Minister distributed identity cards to 830 women under the Samajwadi Pension Yojna and commended the state government for bringing out the plan.
