Uttar Pradesh minister Narad Rai has criticised senior Congress minister Beni Prasad Verma's comment on SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav's efforts to evolve a front to counter resurging BJP.
"Beni Prasad Verma is mentally unsound... It would not be right to take him seriously in politics. He should first get himself treated and become healthy. UP government is ready to help him in his treatment", Khadi Gramodyog minister Rai said today.
Rai was reacting to mediapersons query on Verma's statement on Mulayam Singh Yadav's efforts to evolve a front to counter the BJP.

To a question on Governor Ram Naik's statement on law and order situation of the state and returning the file on appointing former chief secretary Javed Usmani as the Chief Information Commissioner, Rai said "Ram Naik is now on the constitutional post and not a member of the BJP."
"If the Governor feels that there is some shortcoming on the front of law and order, he can talk to the Chief Minister or issue necessary directives", he added.
