UP police constable gets electrocuted in a Greater Noida park

A Uttar Pradesh police constable, who was posted as gunner former state minister and MLC Narindra Bhati, died after coming in contact with a live wire while taking a stroll in a park at Kasna Sector Beta 1, police said today.

The incident happened last night when Anuj, after having dinner, was taking a stroll in the Bismil park, where wires of a submersible pump was lying naked, they said.

In the darkness, his feet touched the live wires, electrocuting him on the spot, they said, adding his body has been sent for post mortem.

Meanwhile, in another incident one person died after his bicycle was hit by a speeding car last night.
 

In Dadri, Kishan Lal, who was riding a bicycle and a resident of Beel village, was killed last night when a car hit his bicycle from behind.

Meanwhile, five persons have been arrested and 14 stolen bikes have been recovered from them by the Sector 49 police, police said.

Those arrested have been identified as Uday Pratap, Ankur Upadhyay, Vikas Awasthi, Dharmindra and Kaushendra Yadav, they said.

They are alleged to be a member of gang of auto thieves and operating in Delhi and NCR area, police said.
