Uttar Pradesh continued to
experience sweltering heat with the mercury settling around 41 degrees Celsius in most of the districts.
The MeT office said that the weather was dry and day temperatures appreciably rose in Allahabad division and changed little in other divisions of the state.

They were markedly above normal in Allahabad division, appreciably above normal in Varanasi, Faizabad, Lucknow, Bareilly, Meerut, Moradabad divisions and were above normal in the remaining divisions over the state.
Allahabad was the hottest place in the state with 47.0 degrees, five degrees above normal followed by Banda 46.6 (+4), Varanasi with 45.8 (+5) and Sultanpur 45.6.
State capital Lucknow recorded the day temperature at 44.4 degrees Celsius, the MeT said.
The MeT has forecast rain/thundershowers at isolated places while duststorm/thunderstorm accompanied with squall at isolated places tomorrow.
