Even as light rain and thundershowers occurred at isolated places over western parts of Uttar Pradesh, the state continued to reel under heatwave conditions.
According to MET department here, maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius was recorded at Etawah followed by Fatehgarh, which recorded 43.3 degrees Celsius.
Lucknow recorded 41.3 degree Celsius, two notches above the normal.
