Six people, including a woman, were injured in a clash between two groups over collecting water from a hand pump in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district, police said on Saturday.
The incident took place in the district's Azizpur village under Jhinjhana police station on Friday, they said.
The injured -- Sajna Begum, Vajid, Ferman, Furkan, Naseem and Kurban -- were taken to hospital, the police said.
The trouble began when Begum had gone to collect water from the public hand pump and others there protested, they said, adding that an investigation in the matter is underway.
