UP: Two shot dead in separate incidents

Two persons were allegedly shot dead over personal enmity in separate incidents in Shamli district, police said today.

In the first incident, a 45-year-oldman was shot dead by hiscousin while he was asleep in his house at Kiwana village in the district last night.

According to SHO Naresh Kumar, the incident took place when the victimidentified as Shahdeen was sleeping in his house.

Personal enmity is said to the motive behind the murder, police said.

Kandhla police has registered a case against an accused, identified as Rahisuddin, the victim's cousin, who is still absconding, they said.

In the second incident, a 55-year-old farmer was shot at by some unidentified miscreantsover previous enmity atLank village in the district, police said today.
 

The incident occurred yesterday when the victim, identified as Mahipal, was shot dead in the fields. He was rushed to hospital but doctors declared him dead, they said.

Police have registered a case against 10 people who are absconding.

Previous enmity is said to be the reason behind the attack, police added.
