Three days after tension erupted in Kawal village here, the district administration has warned that those found indulging in violence will be booked under National Security Act.

On reports that the groups involved in violence were planning to hold separate meetings over the issue, District Magistrate Koshal Raj Sharma today said no one will be allowed to do so as prohibitory orders continue to remain in force.

People found indulged in violence will be booked under the National Security Act, he said.

Five FIRs have been registered in connection with the case and eleven people have so far been arrested and booked under various charges, including that of rioting and murder, police said.

Tension had erupted in the village on Tuesday after three persons were killed in a minor dispute following the collision of two motorbikes.

After the incident, Muzaffarnagar SSP Manjil Saini was transferred and attached to the DG headquarters.

Meanwhile, patrolling continued in the violence-affected area and no untoward incident was reported today.

Arun Kumar, ADGP (law and order) had visited the village yesterday and issued directions to police for necessary steps to be taken.
