A woman and her infant daughter were killed today while the husband was critically injured after the bike they were riding on collided head-on with a truck on Mathura-Aligarh road, police said.
"23-year-old Laxmi and her 18-month-old daughter Saloni died on the spot, while her husband Ajai Kumar has been injured," police said.
"He has been admitted to district hospital where his condition is stated to be serious," police said.
The accident happened near Saiyad area when the driver of the speeding truck, coming from the opposite lane, allegedly lost control of the vehicle and rammed into the bike.
"The driver has been arrested and the truck has been seized," police said.
