Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal today accused the Congress-led UPA government of failing on all fronts and said the central government, "has lost the moral right to remain in power."

"The performance of the UPA government on all fronts is dismal, but the worst part is that it has totally failed in preserving the internal and external security of the country and has lost moral right to remain in power," he said after laying the foundation stone of a sewerage system and Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College here today.

He alleged that the UPA government had completely failed in providing security to the people and problems like Naxalism and terrorism were spreading their wings rapidly.

Pointing out that people are fed up with wrong policies of the UPA government, the chief minister said, they will teach the Congress party a lesson by wiping them out in the next general elections.

Earlier addressing a public rally, Badal said providing quality health services and education to the people are on the prime agenda of the SAD-BJP alliance government.

The Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital will come up at Mullanpur near Chandigarh at a cost of Rs 450 crore and 50 acre land has already been allotted for setting up of this state of the art cancer hospital, he added.
