National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) director general Upendra Prasad Singh will be the new secretary in the water resources ministry, according to an official statement.
Upendra Prasad Singh, a 1985-batch IAS officer, will replace Amarajit Singh, a 1982-batch officer of the Gujarat cadre, following his superannuation on Thursday, it read.
Upendra Prasad Singh is the first DG of the NMCG, which was turned into an authority last year.
